The past years has witnessed a rise in our international cooperation and exchanges. We have established scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with universities and research institutes in United States, Germany, Britain, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia and other countries. Xichang University has established its partnership with World American Cultural Exchanges (WACE), and has been exchanging and cooperating with Eastern New Mexico University through WACE, and joined the "2 + 2 education program " between China and the United States in 2010.

    In order to adapt to the new trend of internationalization of higher education, our school signed agreements with Eastern New Mexico University, Swansea university and China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries respectively in June, 2010. And namely “Sino-US 2 + 2 Double Degree Program”, “Sino-British Master's Programs from China and America”, and " Summer Work & Travel USA Program ".

    At present, XCU has been discussing cooperation issue with Ara Institute of Canterbury in New Zealand, Auburn university and University of Hawaii.
